Today, as I sit down to write, I feel a deep sense of amazement and gratitude—because this is my 200th blog. When I first began writing a blog every Monday called ‘Monday Motivation’, back in August 2021, I never imagined that I would be so consistent. Perseverance was something I admired in others, but today I feel proud that it reflects in my own journey too.
Often, I ask myself: Why do I write? How do I choose my topics? What makes me return to this space every single Monday?
For me, writing is more than just putting words on paper. It is a way to connect—with people, with myself, and with the world of ideas. Each Sunday, I set aside time to reflect, to think about a new subject, and to express my thoughts to write a blog for Monday. Over time, this has turned into a habit I cherish.
Writing has become my way of breaking free from the monotony of the week. It pushes me to read more, explore fresh perspectives, and nurture my mind to think differently.
This journey also takes me back to my childhood at St. Joseph’s High School, Pashan, Pune. My teachers instilled in us the discipline of reading, essay writing, and communicating in English. Looking back, I realize how much that foundation has shaped my ability to express myself today.
Life, however, had other plans. Medical education left little time for hobbies, and the years that followed—medical practice, raising a family, and endless responsibilities—kept me away from my love for reading and writing.
Then came COVID. For all its challenges, the pandemic also gave us something we had forgotten—time. During that phase of enforced pause, I reconnected with my long-lost passions. I read extensively and began writing blogs. What started as an experiment soon turned into something I deeply enjoyed.
Now, even as life has returned to its busy pace, I continue to make time for books and blogs. Writing is no longer just a hobby—it’s a part of who I am.
And that brings me to a thought I want to share with you: pursue your passions. Don’t let life’s routines take away the things you truly love. Find time to do what makes you happy, because later in life you shouldn’t regret the opportunities you let slip by.
So, if you’ve always wanted to write—why not start today? Maybe, like me, you’ll find joy in sharing your thoughts through a blog.
After all, passion and perseverance together can create something truly beautiful.
