Big B at Symbiosis
Yesterday i e on 10th August Symbiosis witnessed an important day in its life. Prof. Emiretus of Symbiosis International University Mr. Amitabh Bachchan was on the campus to address the students. The whole atmosphere was electrifying. Students were maha excited as the new term has just begun in June and how lucky are the students of Symbi that in their first term at campus they get to see, listen and interact with the Shahnshah of Bollywood. What is great about Big B is not just that he is a great star but the humility that is within him. I think that is what the younger genearation needs to learn. How ever much you achieve and become great, you should have your feet straight on the ground. I think I have mentioned this in my earlier blog about Mr. Bachchan too.
Another intelligent individual who accompanied Mr. Bachchan was Mr. Prakash Jha. He is a great man who always makes films which deal with some social issue. Now the issue that he is dealing with is on reservations. While he was with us he was constantly attending to phone calls. Though physically with us, mentally he was trying to tackle the problems that have been created even before the release of the film.
You feel sad that when we talk about our country as a democratic country, a creative person doesn’t have the freedom to express himself. Opinions are being made even before the release of the film.
Deepika Padukone the beautiful talented actress was also present. Students especially boys went beserk seeing her. She,I feel has her head on her shoulders. Though she has a couple of hits to her credit, is still her usual self. Prateik the youngest and an upcoming star should definetly learn the art of communication. He seems to be lost in his own world. Though he has his late mother,s looks and probably talent too he needs to learn from his seniors a little bit of punctuality and humility. But ofcourese its a long way to go for him.
Mr. Bachchan has made it quite obvious that he loves Symbiosis and holds Dr. Mujumdar the Founder of Symbiosis in high esteem.
We hope to see him more often on the Symbi campus to interact with as many new batches of students that he can.
